The Labyrinth of Jareth XIII paerty in Los Angeles (Bizarre 168), had everything from long-eared elves to a man dressed as a bush. Well, anything the yanks can do, us Brits can do better. And you don't need more proof than these colourful pictures snapped at the biggest goblin event since Madame's held a blowjob-themed night.
An evening of hilarity and mischief unfolded in the catacombs beneath London Bridge; a fairy spilt her drink and an ogre lost his cloakroom ticket, but the most spell-binding part was seeing the event's special guest, artist and conceptual designer of The Dark Crystal and Labyrinth, Brian Froud.
If that isn't enough to make your horns quiver, Bizarre Ball favourite Joe Black was court compere - gin-addled and characteristically cheeky. And eerie identical twin music duo, The Henry Brothers, serenaded the crowd with lovely ditties about killing. The rest was a blur of cabaret, naughty nymphs, skin-spearing, and fire-breathing. Honestly, a night like this could be bad for your elf.
Sadie Q of Twisted Cirque "It's impossible to have a bad hair day at the Goblin Ball."
Amy Morel-Berthier "Any event where I need false ears is the place to be!"
Joe Black "There are so many princesses - If I were a dragon, I'd have a field day!"
Big Grey "Let them all burn!"
May LustReality "I'm living the Labyrinth fantast as a festish pixie"
Anne von Bengard "This place is utterly mystical!"
Goblin Hunters from the Island of Pankos "No blade, no bows, no enchanted weaponry or you shall not pass."
Helene "Be careful what you play with tonight. Nothing is as it seems."
