Modern art takes a walk down a twisted path this week as Guerrilla Zoo presents a new collection at Clerkenwell’s The Old Abbatoir.
Modern Panic is a thought-provoking and not for the faint-hearted affair − much of the collection seems designed to jolt and disturb us out of our comfort zone. Life, death and sex are common themes among the photography, sculpture and installations.
Anyone going will not be short of things to see. Fifty artists including infamous Tom Hardy-lookalike and prisoner Charles Bronson, and Israeli photographer Ben Hopper (the chap behind Naked Girls With Masks) have their work on display alongside live art created at last Friday’s private view by another nine artists. Good use has been made of this large site to show off the width of pieces.
The exhibition runs until Sunday. If you do go, let us know what you thought.
