Idea was conceived listening to Kid Congo & the Pink Monkey Birds while was staring into the Dreamachine invention of William S Burroughs and Brion Gysin on a rainy November Saturday night in East London, 2012 whilst Brookner was attending the Dreamachine Launch event we hosted as part of Modern Panic III exhibition.
Aaron Brookner and his partner Paula Vaccaro recently raised over $20, 000 via a crowdfunding campaign to support the restoration of his uncle, Howard Brookner's ground breaking William S Burrough's Documentary and is currently working on a film about his uncle's life called Smash The Control Machine: Howard Brookner & the Western Lands using much of the found footage.
Kid Congo & The Pink Monkey Birds hit the road to tour in support of the new single "Conjure Man" and Forthcoming LP "Haunted Head", both on IN The Red Records. On 23rd March they will be playing the Dirty Water Club at Shacklewell Arms in London.
