Cristobal Jodorowsky Lecture / Q&A
A lecture on the Psychomagic (Psicomagia), Psychoshamanism and Psychogenealogy; a series of therapies devised by Alejandro Jodorowsky and his son Cristobal, who was his apprentice for 20 years. Psychomagic aims to heal psychological wounds suffered in life. This therapy is based on the belief that the performance of certain acts can directly act upon the unconscious mind, releasing it from a series of traumas, some of which are passed down from generation to generation. Psychogenealogy includes the studying of the patient's personality and family tree in order to best address their specific sources. The techniques are a blend of art, modern psychotherapy, Eastern philosophy (especially Zen Buddhism), mysticism, ancient cultures in general, Reincarnation, Gnosticism, New Age. The work is especially influenced by the teachings of Gurdjieff and Castaneda.
